DESCRIPTION
The International Foundation asked its members in the United States and Canada to provide data on the prevalence and design features of pension, retirement and health care plans. The 2008 survey yielding 920 responses also provides information on many other benefits such as dental insurance, life insurance, voluntary benefits, work-life benefits, paid holidays, vacations, disability benefits, sick leave and executive perquisites. A multitude of details are offered regarding who pays for many of these benefits. Results are reported for four distinct employment sectors: corporations, professional service firms, multiemployer plans and public employers.
